Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mobile App Developer. The initial focus will be on developing our Android app, using our already completed iOS app (written in Swift) as a guide. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both Android and iOS development and be able to work efficiently and independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of our Android app.
• Use our existing iOS app as a reference to ensure feature parity and consistency across platforms.
• Collaborate with the product team to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Ensure the highest level of quality by writing clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to deliver a seamless user experience.
• Manage the full mobile development lifecycle, including deployment to app stores.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android application development experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Kotlin, Java and Android SDK programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of iOS development with Swift.
• Demonstrated proficiency in source code management, using version control and code deployment across diverse environments.
• Demonstrated proficiency in software architecture, including experience with offline data storage, cloud synchronization, and mobile application trends and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Speaks, reads, and writes fluent English.

Nice-to-Have’s

• Experience with managing AWS infrastructure.
• Familiarity with AI and natural language processing technologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency with PHP.
• Experience with MySQL and SQLite.
• Experience with Google Fit/Health Connect SDK.
• Experience with Apple HealthKit APIs.

Compensation

$90,000 – $140,000 CAD, dependent on qualifications, with potential for equity ownership.
